recording information

SOURCE – Sony ECM-MS957 > Sony PCM-D50 [96 kHz/24 bit]
TRANSFER – Sony PCM-D50 > PC via USB > Adobe Audition > CDWAV > FLAC

show notes

House concert; mic was placed on a table between David and Bill.

highlights

Bill DeMain accompanies David for most of the show. It is noted that this show takes place very close to the tenth anniversary of THE LUXURY OF TIME, and a request for “Telephone” is contemplated (and ultimately denied). DM fan Joe Nemec plays bass on five tracks. The seldom-played “Walkin’ After Midnight” opens the second set. First known performance of “Down The Drain”. Show almost ends badly when David is hit with many requests at the end of the show.

recording/transfer

This show was uploaded as is – a straight transfer from the 96/24 WAV file with no EQ or volume adjustments, just track splits.

show notes

Solo show; recorded with the mic on a table directly in front of David.

highlights

Rainy night in Pennsylvania, at times you hear the cars outside driving by while the door was open… nice ambience. David recounts writing “Touch Of Mascara” for Trisha Yearwood and “Only In The Movies” for Bette Midler; “Chatterbox” is dedicated to a chatty woman that was talking during his gig in Easton, MD the night before; an anecdote about Bob Dylan’s market share and covering his songs; David reflects on life at 24, barista attitude and crappy capos.
